The challenge
It's not easy to detail the damage that has occurred to a home from a natural disaster. Not only do inspectors need to distinguish between new damage and that may have alread existed, they also need to document it correctly in the pad app they use.
My role
- Met with FEMA personnel
- Helped design the interface and interactivity
- Approved instructional design decisions
- Coded the entire simulation
Approach
- A walk-through of each home to allow it to be inspected
- Simulated software in an on-screen pad
- Used smart coding to determine accuracy
